The Indianapolis Vegetarian Society has hosted a city-wide vegetarian/vegan dinner every year of our existence! Originally known as “The Meatout” and held in March, a few years ago we changed the name to “Savor the Summer Garden” and moved the event to summertime. Our name change was two-fold- since the nation recognizes The Great American Meatout in March, we wanted to update our event’s name to reduce confusion, and secondly we wanted a name for the event that reflects our focus: eating vegetarian food grown locally. With live entertainment, raffle prizes, and amazing vegetarian/vegan food, Savor 2010 will entertain you as well as educate you about veg-living.
